Please remember that we have a different schedule for our Sunday morning activities this Sunday, March 14. Basically everything will be one hour earlier:
- Bible study at 9:20 a.m.
- Worship gathering at 10:30 a.m.
- Church bus picks up starting at Edward Gay at 9:00 a.m.
The reason is because this Sunday we encourage you to join us for Family Fun Day! After worship both Church of the Nations and University Baptist Church will have a picnic lunch. Games and small prizes for children. And a few games for older children and adults as well. Easter egg hunts. And music and entertainment while we eat.
(Church of the Nations normally helps prepare the lunches. So we will have a short worship time and then some of us will go to the kitchen and put food into boxes for the people.)
Sunday, October 25 will be a special day.
First the schedule will be different:
- 9:15 a.m. for Bible study
- 10:30 a.m. for worship
The church bus will pick up from:
- Highland Plantation/Duplantier at 8:45 a.m.
- Edward Gay at 8:55 a.m.
- Nicholson bus stop at 9:00 a.m.
- Tigerland at 9:05 a.m.
Second Church of the Nations will be with University Baptist Church in the “big sanctuary” and not in the chapel. We will lead worship and internationals will read and speak. The Choir of the Nations will also sing.
Please also know there will be special activities for children that evening starting at 5:00 p.m. in the church courtyard (middle area). Games and candy. Children can wear a costume (please no scary costumes) if they would like.
See you then!
University Baptist Church will offer Vacation Bible School the week of Monday-Friday June 22-26 from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 noon each day. This is for children ages 5 through 5th grade. But children in 6th grade or older are very welcome to come and help as volunteers.
The theme is “Boomerang Express” and many of the games and activities will have to do with Australia - as well as learning about the Bible and about Jesus Christ.

If children of international families would like to come please register them online at the University Baptist Church website! Although you can register your children on Monday June 22 it is much better to register them early. Please visit the University Baptist Church website for more information.
Pastor Rick is willing to pick up children who live on or near the Louisiana State University campus - but they must be at least 7 years old and they must come with a card that has their name and contact information. Of course you can always bring your children to the church yourself if you would like.
