Jiaozi. Gyoza. Mandu. Momo. Dumplings.
We plan to celebrate the Lunar New Year late with our annual dumpling party on Friday, March 02 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of University Baptist Church. We will make… cook… and eat dumplings! Along with a few cold dishes and desserts. What makes this activity special is that it is organized and led by internationals. Pastor Rick Wright will drive the bus to pick up people who need a ride.
This activity is for (1) people who participate in our Friday or Sunday activities and (2) their families and (3) new internationals that would like to learn more about Church of the Nations and our activities. Children are welcome – but parents must watch and be responsible for them!
You can drive yourself to the church – turn into the first parking lot where the fellowship hall is. The church is at 5775 Highland Road, 70808:
Directions (from Louisiana State University):
- Drive southeast on Highland
- Cross Lee
- Turn left onto Leeward at the church sign
- Take the first left into church parking lot
Or you can ride on the church bus which picks up from:
- Highland Plantation/Duplantier bus stop (near WalMart) at 5:30 p.m.
- Edward Gay apartments (outside gate) at 5:40 p.m.
- Tiger Towers apartments (outside gate) at 5:43 p.m.
- Nicholson bus stop at 5:45 p.m.
- Tigerland at 5:50 p.m.
- Brightside bus stop at 5:53 p.m.
Please allow 5-10 minutes for the bus to arrive because of weather or traffic.
Also we need more people to help with this activity. We need a few more people to (1) do shopping for ingredients (save receipts) (2) bring dough and filling (3) cook and (4) clean afterwards. People who are helping can come to the church at 4:00 p.m. on Friday to start preparing.
