Daylight savings time starts this weekend

Daylight savings time starts this Saturday November 5 at midnight. Remember “fall back, spring forward“.

Before you go to bed on Saturday make sure you change your clocks so they are one hour earlier. If you forget to do this you will miss our activities this weekend because you will be one hour too early. Daylight savings time means we all get one extra hour!

You should not have to change cell phones or computers. They usually change automatically.

Church work day – Saturday November 5

This Saturday November 5 is a “church work day” from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon.

What is a “church work day”? It is a day when we help take care of the wonderful church property that we enjoy using. We might clean, paint, repair. We also need people to help with drinks, snacks, and encouraging volunteer workers. No one has to participate. But if you have time Saturday morning and would like to help you will be very welcome. There will be something to do for everyone. There will be a volunteer supervisor who has a list of things for us to do.

Church of the Nations has been asked to help this Saturday. There will be four other groups from University Baptist Church. If you come make sure you wear “work clothes” – clothes that can get dirty.

No English Conversation this Friday

No English Conversation this Friday November 4. Instead we encourage you to join us Sunday morning for free lunch after regular activities.
