No English Conversation or regular Sunday activities this week

Church of the Nations will not have English Conversation this Friday September 23. Also we will not have our regular Sunday morning Bible study or worship this Sunday September 25. The church bus will not be able to pick people up. This is because most of us will be at the camping trip Saturday and Sunday.

However  we encourage people who do not go with us on the camping trip to come for worship and Bible study with University Baptist Church:

  • Traditional worship (similar to Church of the Nations) in the “big sanctuary” at 9:00 a.m.
  • Bible study at 10:10 a.m.
  • “The Journey” (more relaxed style of worship) in the “big sanctuary” at 11:00 a.m.

Please visit www.Ubc-br.org for more information.

Please remember that we return to our regular activities the next week. Bible study, worship, and free fellowship lunch on Sunday October 02.

Fall camping trip – Saturday-Sunday September 24-25

Our Fall camping trip is coming very soon! Saturday-Sunday September 24-25 at:

Judson Baptist Retreat Center
10330 Peterson Road
St Francisville, Louisiana 70775

The theme is *Rest and Relationship*. Come and learn more about how to improve our relationships with our family, our friends, and with God through rest. This is a good chance to get away from Baton Rouge to rest, have some fun, spend time with friendly people.

Camp activities include climbing wall, basketball, hiking, hay ride, bonfire, even horse riding.* There will also be three times for Bible study and worship.

Cost is only $30 per person ($20 per child – and children 2 years or younger are free). This includes everything – room, meals, activities. We will stay in hotel rooms – not tents or cabins.

We will leave Baton Rouge around 9:30 a.m.on Saturday and return around 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Sunday.

We hope you can come! But you *must* reserve a place by Tuesday September 20! Please contact Pastor Rick Wright at (225) 766-9474 ext 222 or Rwright@Ubc-br.org for more information and to reserve a place. To reserve a place you need to (1) complete a reservation form and (2) pay for your reservation.

*Note – If you want to do horse riding you need to (a) pay $19 and (b) bring long pants and (c) shoes/sneakers. If you want to ride horses you must register and pay for that before Tuesday September 20. No exceptions. Sorry but the camp must know early how many people are doing this.
