Church of the Nations will offer movie night this Friday, April 01 starting at 7:00 p.m. We will turn the chapel into a giant movie theater! Free drinks, snacks, and popcorn. Children are especially welcome.

We plan to show the movie “Tangled” which is based on the famous “Rapunzel” story. Yes I know – another cartoon. But Pastor Rick enjoys this movie very much and think adults and children both will like it. It has a score of 90% at Rotten Tomatoes movie website which is very high. It has several enjoyable songs.

Take me out to the ball game! English Conversation – Friday March 18

“Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd;
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don’t care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don’t win, it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,
At the old ball game.”

Pizza making party! Friday March 04

It is one of the greatest foods in the world. And one of the greatest American inventions.

Pizza.

This Friday we do not have our normal English Conversation. Instead we have a pizza making party. And Chef Richard (pronounced ree-shard) will teach everyone how to make pizza! We will make and eat pizza. Everyone who comes will make their own little pizza. And yes children can come to this event – although there is no childcare so please watch them and do not let them play outside by themselves. This is a good event for people who do not need or normally come to English Conversation.

The pizza making party will start at 7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall at University Baptist Church. Please note this is thirty minutes earlier than English Conversation.

(Quick note. There is also a wedding at the church this Friday. Please do not go near the wedding and go only into the fellowship hall. Thank you!)
