Someone in Church of the Nations suggested we post and email information about our regular Sunday morning activities.
- We offer Bible study in simple English at 10:15 a.m.
- Worship gathering - with friendly people in simple English - at 11:15 a.m.
You can drive yourself to 5775 Highland Road, 70808 or ride on the church bus which will pick up from:
- Highland Plantation/Duplantier bus stop next to WalMart at 9:50 a.m.
- Edward Gay outside the fence at 10:00 a.m.
- Nicholson bus stop at 10:05 a.m.
- (Tigerland at 10:10 a.m. - talk with Pastor Rick about where you need the bus to get you)
Many of you know our good friend Jean Barrett “fell asleep in the Lord” last Thursday during the night. She had been in Houston since January so that she could receive treatment for leukemia. Jean along with her husband Bob and mother “Mimi” have been a valuable and special part of Church of the Nations for many years. Some of you may remember that for more than 2 years she coordinated English Conversation. We will miss her greatly.
The memorial service will be this Saturday, November 28 starting at 11:00 a.m. in the “big sanctuary” at University Baptist Church. Visitation (when you can visit with the family) will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m.
(There will not be a church bus to pick people up for this. But we do hope many of you are still able to come.)
We normally do not have English Conversation during December because of exams, December graduation, traveling, and extra activities during the Christmas season.

Because so many in Choir of the Nations will be out of town and because of the Thanksgiving holiday - we will not gather again to practice until Friday, December 04. See you then!
Many of you got to watch Choir of the Nations sing so beautifully on Sunday, October 25. You can sing with us!
We invite you to practice with Choir of the Nations this Friday, November 06 starting at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at University Baptist Church. If you are part of the choir - please come if you can and please be on time. We need everyone here on time so that we can be ready to sing on Sunday morning.
If you need a ride Pastor Rick can pick you up at:
- Edward Gay at 5:30 p.m.
- Nicholson bus stop at 5:35 p.m.
If you need him to pick you up from somewhere else on or near campus please let him know.
We will have a snack available for anyone who is not able to have dinner before practice.
