English Conversation is back for 2009!

(And the crowd goes wild.)

English Conversation is beginning again after our usual break for December/Christmas/New Years. Church of the Nations will offer English Conversation for the first time in 2009 this Friday, January 09 starting at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Jim and Eloise Richards:

Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70810

You can drive yourself or ride on the church bus which picks up from Edward Gay at 7:10 p.m. then Tiger Towers at 7:13 p.m. finally from Nicholson bus stop at 7:15 p.m. Please allow 5-7 minutes for the bus to arrive because of weather/traffic.

Directions:

  1. Drive southeast from LSU along Highland Road
  2. Turn left onto Bluebonnet
  3. Turn right onto Rue Larouge
  4. Turn right onto Rue Desiree
  5. Look for house 1621 which is not far from the turn

*Important note about English Conversation – Please read*

English Conversation has always been for adults. (And sometimes youth who participate as students.) *Do not bring children please.* We do not have childcare or a program for children during English Conversation. If children come they will distract you (and others) and make it difficult to concentrate on learning and practicing English. It also makes the activity more difficult for teachers and host families. (Of course Church of the Nations has plenty of other activities and events when children are very welcome such as field trips and movie night as well as Sunday morning Bible study and worship.)

When English Conversation starts again in January we will again ask everyone to follow this rule. (And we are sorry but we cannot allow any exceptions.) If you have any questions please speak with Pastor Rick at rwright AT ubc-br DOT org or 766-9474 ext 222.
