Church of the Nations will take a group to visit Alligator Bayou this Saturday, June 28.
The trip includes a tour in a covered boat, the alligator snapping turtles, the alligators (which they will feed), and education about Louisiana wetlands and wildlife. We will have a picnic lunch after the visit before we take everyone home.
If you would like to come you must reserve a space - and there are limited spaces. The trip costs about $30 per person so we are asking for $20 per person to help cover the cost of admission and lunch. Children may come if parents promise to watch and take responsibility for them.
People can drive themselves or ride on the church bus. The church bus will pick up from the usual places at 8:30 a.m. We then gather at the church parking lot and leave at 8:45 a.m. Do not be late - either for the bus or to meet us at the church. We will arrive at Alligator Bayou by 9:30 a.m. and the tour will start around 9:45 a.m. The tour lasts about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Those who join us need to remember that this activity is outdoors and the weather will be hot. So bring sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, cool clothing, and so on.
If you want to participate please complete this reservation form and send it to Pastor Rick Wright at rwright AT ubc-br DOT org.
