Church of the Nations will have our first Sunday of the month fellowship meal this Sunday, July 06 after the morning worship gathering at about 12:30 p.m. You can bring something delicious to share - but most of all bring yourself! This is always a good time to invite a friend to join us for worship (and perhaps Bible study as well).

Church of the Nations will take a group to visit Alligator Bayou this Saturday, June 28.
The trip includes a tour in a covered boat, the alligator snapping turtles, the alligators (which they will feed), and education about Louisiana wetlands and wildlife. We will have a picnic lunch after the visit before we take everyone home.
If you would like to come you must reserve a space - and there are limited spaces. The trip costs about $30 per person so we are asking for $20 per person to help cover the cost of admission and lunch. Children may come if parents promise to watch and take responsibility for them.
People can drive themselves or ride on the church bus. The church bus will pick up from the usual places at 8:30 a.m. We then gather at the church parking lot and leave at 8:45 a.m. Do not be late - either for the bus or to meet us at the church. We will arrive at Alligator Bayou by 9:30 a.m. and the tour will start around 9:45 a.m. The tour lasts about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Those who join us need to remember that this activity is outdoors and the weather will be hot. So bring sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses, cool clothing, and so on.
If you want to participate please complete this reservation form and send it to Pastor Rick Wright at rwright AT ubc-br DOT org.

We will have a different schedule for Bible study and worship this Sunday, June 15 - and only for this Sunday. The schedule returns to normal on Sunday, June 22.
Bible study - 9:15 a.m.
Worship - 10:30 a.m.
Church bus - 8:45 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
The reason for the different schedule is that Church of the Nations will join with University Baptist Church for worship. The worship gathering will include a special musical offering called “Of Faith and Freedom” that will include choir and even a small orchestra. (The musical offering celebrates religious and political freedom.)
